How to know your location history using Google Map

Do you remember Google latitude from the past? Where we could share our location data with our friends , we could ping our friends at place on map to gather all together there. Google location and Location history was evolved with Google latitude and now its is much devolved with new features .

Yes Google knows it all, If you ever have used Android or any Other Google apps then Google knows you location . Not only android and apps. But if you use any Google products such as Gmail, Adsense etc then Google has been constantly tracking your approximate location. You can find your location history from Google server by using your phone's browser here https://maps.google.com/locationhistory/b/0   . You can see a map with red dotted points and lines with few timelines at the bottom. The dotted points are the places where your device has been tracked .

Deleting the location history 
If you want to delete some or specific location history data, you can do it from dashboard , click on the date and select “Delete history from this time period”

Enable/disable Google location history

If you are highly concerned about the privacy of your personal life and tech life then you can turn off this features , simple by change its settings from dashboard. Android devices comes with integrated location access setting under the personal panel settings.

Farewell to Orkut

Farewell message from Google

Ten years ago in 2004 Google had emerged into the community into social networking with ‘ORKUT’  and it had created a massive popularity in many countries  ,  Orkut was running well with massive users until Facebook emerged globally with a hug  popularity, it has not only replaced Orkut but many other popular social networking sites like Myspace, Friendster etc.
 And finally Google thinks it’s the time to shut down Orkut on 30^th September 2014.

Now a days Facebook is ruling the social networking community, many of us have forgotten about Orkut, and the younger generation may be not knowing what is Orkut,

What is Orkut?

A short introduction for those who don’t know about this :
Orkut is a (was a after 30^th September 2014) Social networking site lunched by Google on 22^nd January 2004. The website was name after its’ creator ‘Orkut Buyukkokten’ .  It has the features like Messages, Instant chat, Scraps, photo albums, community and forums etc. It has been esteemed as the major social networking sites for countries like Brazil, India, Pakistan etc  and It was having huge users about 100 million until it was thrashed by  competitors by 2010. But due to massive competition and social networking features of other social networking sites gradually people loosed their interests over Orkut and migrated to its competitors like  Facebook.

People who are still active the active users of Orkut , they can export their Orkut account’s date such as Testimonials , Scraps , Photo albums , messages via Google Takeout within 30^th September 2014. It is important to preserve your important data before you lose it. Although Google told that, they will archive the communities but it is important to take screen grabs as it lose the Orkut essence.

Social networking sites leaves many memories , where we spark our chat, where we talk more than we do in our real life, where we share more . The first every Social networking site that I have signed up is orkut when I was just 17.  I made some good friends, I meet with them in real life, many of them has now became like my best buddies .  Thank you Google & Orkut for all those memories.

Host website inside Google Drive

Google provide us initial 15 GB (originally 5 GB) storage space, which can be use for cloud data storage, collaborative file editing like spreadsheets,   file sharing , google docs , we can use this space to synchronize our PC and much more.

You can host a simple website coded with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. But note that, server side  scripting like PHP and  ASP are not supported by Google Drive.  You can host some basic web pages written to provide some information or data to the  people .

Many Social Networking website like  Facebook that supports custom pages and should be served through HTTPS encryption , So Google serve with HTTPS encryption and you can use the drive to save your custom pages.You can also use it as your FTP server by hosting video, audio, software and other data.

Well to host your web pages , you have to create a new folder , change the accessibility of the folder from private to public, so that any one can access the data inside the public folder.
just follow the steps below…

Create a new folder

Right click , go to ‘share’.

Change the accessibility to ‘Public’




Now drag and drop your web pages inside the folder.

Right click on web page and open with Google drive viewer,

click on preview 

 copy the URL from address bar and share it with the recipients. You may also use the link shortener to shorten the link. Check my sample page that I have hosted in Google drive.

One more thing if you want to use the same webpages but host on a different domain then link the  pages by using a <iframe> tag.But make sure to make the Width and Height of the frame to 100%.

Advance Google Search

 Some basic of Google Search that you must know.

• If you search for KING AND QUEENthen Google will assume it as KING QUEEN. If you want to use and use it as “AND”.

• The plus(+) operators command the Google to find results with the designated word.
  example:  Morning +Walk

• The minus(-) operators , command the Google to find results by eliminating the designated word from the search page.
  example: Morning –Walk

• The Tidle(~) operator can be use to look for synonyms
  example: ~Gates got Gates

• Search terms are limited to 32 words.

• These words and punctuations are ignored by Google. [are, a, after, it, in, etc,! . ,? ] so stop using these.

• Word Order matters for Google.: The first word should have more weight than second, the third words should have more weight than second one and so on… in determining relevancy.

 Some more search example.

Suppose you want to search about GREEN REVOLUTION,  for a normal search what you do? We simply type GREEN REVOLUTION and Hit enter, and suppose you want to know revolution other than in India or you want to exclude a word from the search, then type this:
                Green Revolution –India

Now try  “Green Revolution”
This phrase search will reveals the words between the quotes.

 Suppose you want to search Sugar Free Recipe , simply type it and hit enter, you would not get satisfying search result. So type “Sugar Free” Recipe ,  and search again, this time you would get more relevant search results , because now Google is searching for the phrase “Sugar free”.

Field Searching.
Suppose you want to search Blogging Tutorial. Simply type it and search on Google, you would get many results and many of them are  actually not any tutorials they are only keywords from many websites blogs and forums . Only few links among them are really about Blogging Tutorials, it’s a kind of mess, so to get the search result more relevant type allintitle:Blogging Tutorials
This time Google would search for all of the words in the title of the webpage.

Google lunching Operating system

hello everybody, this is my 1st post in this blog. my English is quite poor so please try to get what i wanna say.
yesterday i was reading newspaper and saw this article. Google is going to lunch its own operating system at the second half of the next year.
generally people get frusted with PC due to slow start up, hardware crashing problems, fiddly updates of operating system. Google is lunching its chrome operating system which will get the users into the web within a second and keeping concern about all basic functions and problems of the PC. Google promises that the chrome operating system will be available on the PC within the second half of the next year which will be enriched with simplicity, security and speed.
Now its a big challenge for Google that can chrome OS replace the Microsoft Windows OS ? because windows OS are running from more than 20years in 80 % to 90% of world's PC.
indeed technology can change the world lets see whats Google do?
